Please, can anybody help me with this important question:
Is it better "A Petgirl's Story" or "Story of a Petgirl"?
(I'm working in the cover and I have some last minute doubts with the title because I'm a non-english speaker)
Thanks
:-)

Honestly .. I would just go with "Petgirl"

Thanks for your sincerity ^^

To be honest I'm not completely happy with the name of 'May' (and I promise I thought a LOT of them). With a more original name, probably I would go with 'Name, the Petgirl', but 'Petgirl' alone it sounds a bit empty for me. Instead to insert the word 'story' in the title reminds me about old tales and children tales.

I though also in 'Pets' but we focus mainly in May and it's not clear it's about bizarre fetish.

Oh, and too short generic titles like Petgirl or Pets probably are already taken by other comic/film/book.

May is fine. I've used it after all. But maybe it lacks some personality, some punch... :-P

"A Petgirl's Story" or "Story of a Petgirl" are both fine.

I kind of like the first.

'A Pet Girls story' makes it sound like its being told from her point of view.
While 'A story of a Pet Girl' sounds like its being told from a third person's point of view.

I already suspected that there was somekind of little difference of meaning between them. In this comic she is not writing the story (of course, she is a pet!), but we focus in her. So maybe it's better 'A Petgirl's Story' not only for sounding but because of meaning also. Thanks!

Poor Dandy, I hope he escapes too. I wish I had an owner who would buy me a nice puppyboy like him to snuggle with.

Lazy, you broke your mirror. That's seven years bad luck... ;-) (I'm calling her Lazy from now on!)

I prefer "A Petgirl's Story" than "Story of a Petgirl". The first one sounds more impactful somehow, and closer to the children's book style you wanted.

May is a good name. I like that it's dignified and not too uncommon as a human name, yet is also believable as a name for an actual cat or dog, and sounds very sweet too. Calling her anything like Sparkles or Tittykitty would spoil it. A name with a single syllable is also good, it contrasts with other characters with 2+ syllable names like Dandy.

I don't hate the name May! I like it! But I think in names like Babar, Maya the bee or Totoro... Oh, those are Really Good ones :-)

A short one syllable name is also very practical because it appears written a lot of times in this comic!

Mmm, Lazy is a good name too. There is a character later on (without relevance) whom it could fit very well xD

Thanks for your nice comments!

i like may as a name and ive come to asociate it with her story of a petgirl sounds a bit more full sentanced if thats even a word but still feels somewhat empty and undescriptive its the type of thing youd use for a crime novel like story of a serial killer maybe think of some other names like the story of a petgirl called may or mays petgirl story

Thanks for your suggestions, but I've already decided. I've been almost crazy with names and title! Stop! The winner is 'A Petgirl's Story'! :-D

Im my modest opinion "A Petgirl Story" is jst fine, but without the genitive ('s)Sounds a lot better. And May is a good name for me. Babar and such are ugly. May is nice. bye for now. Petgirl Jewel.

"A Petgirl's Story" is perfect. It says exactly what it is. Don't change a thing. ;)

Thanks. The winner title is 'A Petgirl's Story', no doubt now. Almost everybody tells me the same (and I like it in the first place too).

Well, isn't Dandy a noble mongrel. I actually am not sure if he is fighting or that's just Lady's foreplay.

If I may throw my two cents in, I think you have given the right names to your character to fit the ambience you are going for. The names are simple, sweet, but can pack more potential for puns in the right situation. It makes the comic feel more....innocent, if that makes any sense. Helps the juxtaposition and irony.

Thanks for your support to the names. You know, we artists are always worrying about this stupid things :-)

Oh, if it's the foreplay we're never going to watch the continuation, sorry.
